Tractor run raises €600 for Arthritis Ireland

Peter Ward and the other members of the Dee Vintage & Classic Club organise a vintage tractor run twice a year and have kindly supported Arthritis Ireland since 2011 by arranging bucket collections.

One of the Dee Vintage & Classic Club founding members lived with arthritis and as such, as a group they chose Arthritis Ireland as their preferred charity to support. When he passed away, the other members decided to continue to support the cause in honour of his memory.

May 2019

As with previous years, the Dee Vintage & Classic Club held their first of two tractor runs in May.  On an overcast Sunday morning they gathered their vintage vehicles; joined by members and friends from neighbouring clubs and counties. They set off on a new route. One that brought them along County Louth’s scenic coastline through Annagassan and on to Clogherhead .  With beautiful views and good weather prevailing, a wonderful day was had by all participants, old and new.

The Dee Vintage & Classic Club wish to thank all participants and everybody that helped in any way. they are very proud to support Arthritis Ireland again this year.

Thank you for making a difference!

If you have an idea for a fundraiser, be a club event like The Dee Vintage tractor run we would love to hear from you here in Arthritis Ireland.  We receive no guaranteed state funding and so fundraising and donations are vital to allow us to continue to provide hope to those with arthritis, by funding research and support to help them deal with the many challenges of this debilitating illness.

Without your support much of what we do would simply not be possible.
