Arthritis Ireland is hosting a special information evening, 'Living with Gout', on Monday 20 November in the Hilton Hotel, Charlemont Place, Dublin 2. Admission is free and all are welcome. Book your place now to avoid disappointment.
Prof. Geraldine McCarthy, consultant rheumatologist, the Mater Hospital, will explain many aspects of gout, such as what causes it, how it is treated and lifestyle recommendations to help manage your gout. A questions and answers session will take place at the end of the meeting.
On the night, Arthritis Ireland will distribute the ‘Living with Gout' booklet. So come along and discover the many myths and truths about gout!

Prof Geraldine McCarthy is consultant rheumatologist at the Mater Hospital. A graduate of UCD, she finished her general medical training in Ireland before completing a Fellowship in rheumatology at the College of Wisconsin where she rose to the rank of Associate Professor of Medicine. Returning to Dublin in 1998, she was appointed as a consultant rheumatologist at the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital and associate professor of molecular and cellular therapeutics at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.
