Helpline Volunteers

Our helpline is a confidential service that provides people with support on a whole range of issues to do with their arthritis or that of a loved one. Whether looking for information on arthritis or an Arthritis Ireland service or event, providing emotional support, or perhaps just a friendly ear, the helpline is a confidential service.

All of our helpline volunteers have experience of living with arthritis themselves. As the service is run out of our Dublin office, volunteers should ideally have easy access to the Dublin area. Our volunteers are fully trained and provided with debriefing support by a member of our team.

There are two shifts available to volunteer for: morning, from 10am until 1pm and afternoon, from 1pm until 4pm. As with all of our volunteering opportunities, you can choose as many or as few shifts as suit you.

For more information on our helpline and the type of calls you would answer, see our helpline FAQ.

If you have experience of living with arthritis and would like to volunteer to support others by phone contact us on 01-6618188 or email info@arthritisireland.ie.
