JA Programme
Juvenile arthritis (JA), or 'juvenile idiopathic arthritis' to give it its official title, is the most common rheumatic disease in children affecting around 1,100 children in Ireland. It affects children who are 16-years-old or younger and although JA may last years, the good news is that most children with the condition do not have arthritis when they are adults.
With the rapid advances in research, a cure may be found for JA. However, until then living day-to-day presents a significant challenge for the child affected, but also their parents and siblings. Arthritis Ireland JA Programme was designed with this in mind and can provide your family with the knowledge and support required to see a brighter future by specifically addressing the issues associated with growing up with this chronic condition.
